Central
Office has been trying to restore the Pay Parity of Technicians with
the Lighting Assistants in the Pay Scale of Rs. 5000-8000. As we are aware, as
per the verdict of the Hon'ble Supreme Court to Restore the Pay parity of
Technicians in the Pay Scale of Rs. 4500-7000
(corresponding scales as per 3rd and 4th Central Pay Commission), DG (AIR) has issued
the order
on 11/03/14.
This Pay Parity is again disturbed,
as Lighting Assistants were granted the Pay Scale of Rs. 5000-8000 with
effect from 01-01-1996. We have
been demanding to Restore the Pay Parity of Tech in this Pay Scale as per the
spirit of the Supreme Court verdict.
ARTEE has been pursuing the matter
organizationally also. This is the third core issue in the meeting
of ARTEE with the CEO,Prasar Bharati on 22/04/14 and this issue was approved by
the Prasar Bharati Board also
in its 122nd Meeting. But in the proposal the matter is mentioned as subjudice, due to the OA 1861/2014 filed by 25 Individuals. ARTEE also
filed OA for the same benefit to put more pressure on the Management. The OA
came for hearing today the 15-12-14.
The case is filed by Sh. Deepak S., Tech and VP (WZ) as effected Party,
while ARTEE is represented by the President
In today's hearing ,the Hon'ble CAT directed the
Respondents to consider the representation in 60 days. Today's decision
shall help to increase the pressure on the Management and the process to fulfill
the demand will get more momentum.
