ARTEE Central Office is keeping a close and regular watch on the Rescue
work of Staff posted in AIR and DD. Yesterday (08-09-2014) President and
VP (AIR) met E.in.C.(AIR) and took update. E.in.C. conveyed his sincere
concern about the safety and Rescue work of Staff.
DG Doordarshan has sanctioned Rs. 10 lacs as emergency
fund for food and other relief works. Staff is safe and has been rescued.
Brig.(Retd.) Sh.V.A.M. Hussain, Principle Advisor (PA) and Brig. (Retd)
S. Visvanathan , ADG (Admn.) are using their experience and links
with ARMY for relief works. N.D.M.A. and N.D.R.F. are contacted and they
are on the Job. To meet out the power crisis Generators are working and
extra requirement of Diesel is being met out. Sh. O.K.Sharma, ADG(E), NZ
informed that he has established contact with District Magistrate and he
is cooperating in relief work.
President met Principle Advisor (PA)
and CEO yesterday (08/09/14) to express concern. Both assured that there
shall be no lacking in Rescue and relief works.
Meanwhile DG (DD) is sending a team of two Officers Sh.
Y.K.Singh, DDG and Sh. Prakashveer , Dy.Director to Srinagar with relief
items. From AIR a Team of three Officers is going to Srinagar.
The Transmission of DD Kashir is continuing uninterrupted
through DSNG Van. DD National is also being transmitted. All efforts are
being done to start the transmission of F.M transmission of All India
Radio.
As per latest information water level has started
coming down.
