Major Success in the Implementation of ACP PATNA

As informed earlier, in the OA 757/2013 filed by  Sh. Umesh Chandra and Ors, after establishing similarity with Applicants of ACP PATNA, the  proposal  was sent by DG(AIR) to the Hon'ble Ministry of I & B. After this Central Office followed the issue, on the basis of an Order issued by DOPT in a reference sent by the  Department  of Revenue, Central Board of Excise and Customs, dated 23.12.2008 (CBEC), As per this Order, the Cadre Controlling Authority is authorized to Constitute Screening Committee and to Conduct DPC for the grant of ACP.

On the basis of this order, the  proposal for the delegation of powers to DG (AIR) (Cadre Controlling Authority)  to  Constitute Screening Committee and to Conduct DPC ,for the grant of ACP was sent to DOPT by the Ministry of I & B. As per the information, the  file is cleared by DOPT with a positive decision. The Hon'ble Ministry of I & B is likely to issue the order very soon.

This is a major breakthrough in the implementation of ACP PATNA. Now DG(AIR) can Constitute the Screening Committee and can conduct DPC to grant ACP
