The two days 1st State Convention of Andhra Pradesh organized on 17th & 18th July 2010 in Hyderabad. A decorated inaugural function was held in Ravindra Bharati auditorium and graced by Sh. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy Hon'ble Speaker of legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh. In his inaugural address Sh. Reddy shown his faith on credibility of news by AIR & DD and role played by these departments during National tragedy like 26/11 terrorist attacks. The Guest of honor Sh. V.Shivakumar, Member (P) Prasar Bharati also appraised the roll of Akashwani & Doordarshan at the time of National Disasters like Earth quakes of Osmanabad, Latur, Sunami etc. The inaugural session was also attended by galaxy of officials of AIR & DD.

Sh. Nageshwar Rao, Office bearer of Central Govt. Emp. & Workers (CCGEW) also attended the session and addressed the gathering.

The One and half day long delegate session was held in excellent ambience of National Institute of Tourism & Hospitality Management (NITHM). The function was attended by a strong gathering of more than 250 delegates, DMC Coordinators, Unit Secretaries and members attended the function and got their queries answered from Dias.

The central office was represented by Sh. Umesh Chandra, Gen.Secy., Sh. R.Raman, VP(TV) , Sh. Harikrishan Nair, Member (Deptt. Council) while from South Zone office of ARTEE Sh. Boban George VP(SZ), Sh. Anandamoorthy AGS(AIR) , Sh. M.V.Sheshagiri AGS(TV), Sh. Karunakaran, JS(SEA/EA), Sh.K.Sundar, Sh. Sathikmeera, State Secy. , Sh. J.Anilkumar, State Secy., Kerala and others were present.

The Convention was a big success and power display of organization strength under the leadership of Sh. S.S.Jafania, State Secy., Sh. M.J.S.Prasad, Pub.Secy., Sh.O. Subramiam, Org. Secy of AP and the organizing team.
