The Regional Convention of Coastal Districts of Andhra Pradesh was organised in Vijayawada on 10th Feb'09. Function was inaugurated by Sh. Umesh Chandra, Gen.Secy. ARTEE. In a day long function more than 100 delegates from various coastal districts participated in useful discussions. From dias Sh. Umesh Chandra, Gen.Secy alongwith Sh. R.Raman VP(TV) and Sh. Boban George VP(SZ) & Sh. S.S.Jafania, State Secy. (A.P.) replied various questions related to various problems in the department. Sh. J.S.R.Prasad, Director UNI and Sh. V.Nageshwara Rao, Noted Trade Unionist were also present on the occassion.

A meeting of Zonal Council of South Zone presided by Sh. Boban George, VP(SZ) and attended by Sh. Harikrishan, Member Deptt. Council, Sh. Ananthamurthy, AGS(AIR), Sh. M.V.Sheshagiri, AGS(TV), Sh. Karunakaran , JS(SEA/EA), Sh. Ravindran, JS(Stech/Tech), Sh. Murugan, JS(Helper). and Sh. J.Anilkumar, State Secy. (Kerala) & Sh. Sathikmeera, State Secy.(TN). General Secy. & VP(TV) also attended the meeting and updated the office bearers about current scenario.

The Organising committee including S.Jamili Ready, Sh. M.J.S. Prasad & others deserves all appreciation as it was the first function in last 15 yrs. in Andhra Pradesh which will strenghten ARTEE.
