Special drive to fill up backlog vacancies of Engineering Assistants
in SC/ST category Preliminary preparations.
Sir,
Kindly refer to the meeting in the
Directorate of All India Radio on 6th October, 2005 regarding the above. Subsequently, the Directorate have revised the date of examination as 18.12.2005.The advertisement has already appeared in the
Employment News dated 15-21st October, 2005.
It is requested that the following
preliminary arrangements may kindly be made at all the centres:
1.Identify suitable venues and inform
their postal address along with the capacity of the venue on or
before 01.11.2005.
2.Make arrangements for distribution
of application forms. The OMR application forms are being printed
and are expected to be delivered at all the venues by 19.10.2005.
As per the advertisement released to the Employment News, the
sale of forms will commence after 20.10.2005. The relevant para
of the advertisement is reproduced below for immediate reference:
Applications should be submitted in the prescribed OMR
Application Forms, which can be procured from any of the addresses
given in Table I after 20.10.2005.The forms can be either collected in person or through
post.The envelope should be superscribed
with Special Drive for Recruitment
of Engineering Assistants (SC/ST).Each request for form should
be accompanied by a letter from the candidate in his own handwriting
indicating the address for delivery in capital letters.The candidate should also enclose a crossed Demand Draft/crossed
Postal Order for Rs. 25/- (Rupees twenty
five only) towards application fee in favour
of Prasar Bharati (BCI) payable at New Delhi and a self-addressed stamped
(Rs. 16) envelope of size 14 X 10.The DD/PO should not be dated earlier than 20.10.2005.Prasar Bharati will not be responsible for late receipt
of applications at the candidates address.The name and address of the candidate should
be written on the backside of the DD/PO. Application fee in
cash will not be accepted.The forms are not transferable.Only one form will be issued to one candidate.The instructions given in the form should be strictly followed.
3.All the payments received (DD/PO)
should be duly tabulated and sent to the Manager (Budget), (By name: Shri C.M. Venugopalan), Prasar Bharati, PTI building, SansadMarg, New Delhi- 110 001 on 21.11.2005.
4.Every day, the centres should inform the Zonal Office through e-mail/fax
giving details of forms sold and balance stock. A copy of the
same should be sent to STI (T) also.In case, any centre is falling short of forms, advance
action should be taken by the Zonal Office to dispatch forms from
its buffer stock. This is applicable to all the centres from where forms will be distributed.
5.The distribution of forms should
be closed at 17:00
hrs on 18.11.2005.The
balance forms lying with the centres
beyond 18.11.2005 should be returned to the STI (T) on 21.11.2005
with proper accounting.
6.Each assigned venue should dedicate
one computer and a laser printer for issue of duplicate Admit
Card on 17.12.2005.The
required software and database for this purpose will be arranged
by the STI (T) after 25.11.2005. Relevant part in the advertisement
is reproduced below:
Candidates who do not receive the Admit Card may contact
the Controller of Centre on 17.12.2005 between 10:00 and 16:00
Hrs. for obtaining duplicate Admit Card. For this purpose, he/she
must bring the serial number of the application form
and proof of submission of his/her application.
Detailed guidelines about conducting
the examination will be sent to the venues in due course
