NFADE in action

As mentioned in the December 2003 issue of Filament, National Federation of Akashvani and Doordarshan Employees, NFADE has been formed by the Staff Associations of AIR & Doordarshan, under the Chairmanship of Sh. R. Dasgupta, ARTEE President, to take up common issues like service conditions in Prasar Bharati etc. Almost all the major Associations & Unions of AIR & Doordarshan have already got themselves affiliated to NFADE. The Federation organized a huge gate meeting on 18th March 2004 at lunch hour at Akashvani Bhavan, Delhi to launch its activities. The necessity of being a part of NFADE is very clear from the circular that is reproduced here. All the ARTEE unit secretaries are requested to give publicity to this fact in their respective stations/Kendras and local committees may be formed in co-ordination with all local units of the associations.

It is to inform you that all the staff members of All India Radio and Doordarshan belonging to different categories represented by all the staff Associations at Headquarters have come together to form " National Federation of Akashvani & Doordarshan Employees (NFADE)" to take on all the common problems and protect and promote common interests of all employees irrespective of their categories.

You are called upon by all staff Associations leaders in Headquarters to form units of Federation at station levels and immediately intimate your respective Association in Delhi.

Please remember, UNITE OR PERISH, CHOICE IS YOURS.
