Sub: Finalization of zone option for DR-02 candidates against the

vacancies of 2001-02 in the cadre of EAs of erstwhile East Zone.

After creation of North East Zone office at Guwahati, it had become essential to bifurcate subordinate Engineering Staff working at erstwhile East Zone Station/Offices. Accordingly, vide Directorate’s letter No 14/32/2002-S IV A/1105 dated 26.8.02, zone options had been invited from all the subordinate Engineering Employees along with the Direct Recruit EAs 2001-02.But in the bifurcation process of East Zone, the zone option of Direct recruit EAs of 2002 exam was deferred and it was decided to be obtained at a later stage. It has now been decided that the allocation of Zone for DR EAs of 2002 shall be finalized. Accordingly, zone options are invited from the Direct Recruit EAs of 2002 working in East Zone and North-East Zone in the enclosed proforma. Engineering Heads of all the stations/offices of All India Radio/DDK/DMC under East Zone are hereby requested to obtain option from individual staff of DR-02 working under their control in the prescribed proforma and forward the same by Registered Post/ Speed Post/ Courier service so that those are received in this office latest by 31st August, 2006. Chief Engineer (North East Zone) is also requested to kindly get the aforesaid exercise completed for the candidates working under their control and intimate this office within the said date so that the complete process could be taken up and finalized. In this connection, it is worth mentioning that, each of the Direct Recruit EAs of 2002 is free to opt either for East Zone or for North East Zone. The matter may please be taken up on top priority and it may be ensured by All Engineering Heads that all the Engineering Assistants of DR-02 have been informed of the matter and a signature of each is received as a token for having seen the circular apart from ensuring the option so that those options received here along with receipted copy of the signature by stipulated date.
