Historic Meeting – Major Progress on Major issues

            Central Office of ARTEE has been trying its best to take up three core issues to  their logical implementation through negotiations despite negative criticism with political motives by some vested interests. The three core issues are ACP as per verdict of CAT PATNA, One Cadre One Pay and Pay Parity of Technicians with Lighting Assistants.

        All three issues have made significant progress towards implementation and  with the efforts of our President,  A historic Meeting in Prasar Bharati Secretariat  was conducted under the Chairmanship of our Respected CEO on 22/04/2014.

      On 21/04/14 President got a call from PB Secretariat that a meeting is scheduled at 17:00 hrs today under the chairmanship of CEO. Our President expressed his unavailability due to personal reasons. Prasar Bharati conducted a meeting of all other Associations on 21/04/2014. Management had an exclusive Meeting with  ARTEE on 22/04/2014 (next day) under the chairmanship Our CEO.

 This meeting may  be rated as one of the most output oriented meeting in the  last many years. In the meeting ARTEE Leadership, argued the issues in a logical and effective manner with an extremely positive management of Prasar Bharati, DG AIR and DG DD and the management  taken  quick and clear decisions about our core issues. A kind of history was created on 22/04/14.

Our all issues have three phases of implementation:

DG (All India Radio)                 ….         The Cadre Controlling Authority

Prasar Bharati              ……..        The Controlling and Management Authority

Hon’ble Ministry of I & B       ….……...           The umbrella and the Funding Authority.

ACP as per CAT PATNA Verdict: DG AIR  & PB taken the  decision to explore the possibility of a proposal to issue “Generic Order” which will be applicable to all eligible Members as per the  Court verdict. Now there is no need of approaching court of law in Individual capacity. This is a milestone decision that both DG AIR and PB  agreed for Generalizing the benefit of ACP PATNA. In the Minutes By mistake AEs are missed but since ‘Generic Order’ will be for all eligible candidates as per Court verdict AEs will obviously be included. Efforts will be made to get a corrigendum  to be issued at the earliest. 

 One Cadre One Pay : The decision on this issue will remove all apprehensions of our Technicians, D.Tech, D.E.D., M.Tech and Helper brothers that whether they will be included or not. Now a comprehensive proposal will be prepared and sent to M.I.B. including all the cadres suffering from this anomaly.

 Tech vs Lighting Assistants Pay Parity :  It was claimed ample times by a section that sale of  Rs. 5000-8000 in Pay Parity with Lighting Assistants was approved but despite best of efforts through RTI etc or appealing to some Resigned leaders, Central Office could not lay down its hand to any Paper which clearly establishes that this was approved at any stage either by DG AIR or  by Prasar Bharati. All we could find  was only some communications. Now first time we have got clear decision on this issue also.

It is now certain that the two steps shall be cleared. With the power of Unity we are sure that we will clear third step also, and we request our Members to maintain restrain. We appeal to  all ARTEE Members not to fall in the trap of dirty propaganda with malafied intentions by a small section with the sole intention to harm welfare cause and defame the central body. Any such efforts will now  be dealt  very strictly. ARTEE belongs to all of you.
